Merit Badge Counselor with the Boys Scouts of America Atlanta Council
Bring your troop for a visit, tour, or a badge workshop. Workshops currently offered include:
Boy Scouts:
Workshops cover the information-gathering requirements that can be taught and discussed. Requirements that need time to be built or created by the scouts will not be covered in these workshops.
The cost of the workshops includes the materials needed for the activities and builds of the covered requirements, handouts and worksheets, as well as admission to the museum for each scout and one chaperone per every ten participating scouts.
- Digital Technology – 3 hours, $30 per scout
Requirements covered: 2 – 5, 7 – 9
Must show Cyber Chip - Electricity – 3 hours, $30 per scout
Requirements covered: 1, 3-7, 9, 10
Should bring in Req. #2 already completed for discussion - Programming – 2 hours, $20 per scout
Requirements covered: 2 – 4, 6
Must show Cyber Chip - Signs, Signals, and Codes – 3 hours, $30 per scout
Requirements covered: 1- 6 - Weather – 3 hours, $30 per scout
Requirements covered: 1 – 9
Girl Scouts:
Workshops are adapted for the grade level attending.
All workshops run about 2 – 2.5 hours. Cost of $20 per scout covers all materials, handouts, and admission to the museum. One chaperone per ten scouts is included free.
