QWERTY Reigns Supreme – Mostly
The QWERTY keyboard was invented along with the very first typewriter, and is still in use today. Lurking just below your fingertips on your sleek new two-pound laptop computer is a Victorian interface that has not changed in over 100 years. While QWERTY reigns supreme, various countries have put their own spin on the classic English-language keyboard.
Typewriter Tom returns to CMOA this September for an interactive exhibit of typewriters from different countries. Ranging from Finnish to Farsi, it is a journey worth exploring!
