Punched cards were widely used throughout much of the 20th century in various industries for record keeping and data processing. Machines used punched cards for data input, output, and storage. Come learn more about how punched card machines were used and punch your own souvenir card on an original IBM 29 to take home during the demo, this Saturday from 2PM – 4PM!

Come celebrate Earth Day with us at this free event at the museum entrance!
The City of Roswell’s Environmental/Public Works and Keep Roswell Beautiful will be at Computer Museum of America (CMoA) on Earth Day, April 22 from 11 AM – 2 PM to discuss the importance of recycling with games, giveaways, and informational handouts.
As part of our Earth Day celebrations, this month’s Talking Tech will feature the City of Roswell’s Environmental Educator, Liberti Gates. As you bring your tech to be recycled at our Electronics Recycling Drive with New Life Recycling, please plan to attend her presentation at 2 PM where she will explain technology recycling and what happens to your tech after you drop it off. Liberti will deep dive into how disposing of your tech the environmentally friendly way can have major positive impacts.
Whether recycling your electronics, your cans and paper at your curbside or at the Roswell Recycling Center, or finding other ways to reduce what goes into the landfill – we want to do what we can to thank our planet and keep it healthy.
Our semi-annual Electronics Recycling Event will run from 11 AM – 1 PM in the museum parking lot concurrently with the events listed above as an additional part of our Earth Day celebrations. Find more information on the recycling event at Electronics Recycling Drive .

Earth Day is in April and at CMoA, we’re recognizing this day on April 22nd by collecting and recycling your old electronics. Do you have unused electronics lying around? Do you want to dispose of them securely? Computer Museum of America (CMoA) and New Life Technology Group have partnered to hold a contactless electronics recycling drop off at CMoA.
