JavaScript is the programming language of the web. It controls everything that happens on a website, like pop-ups, animations, warnings, and autocomplete search boxes. Are you ready to dive into JavaScript? You will learn how to add JavaScript code to a website and work on several projects including a calculator, multiple-choice quiz program, and 2D game.
This camp is a great introduction to web development, game, and app design with JavaScript. Learn to code with JavaScript in a simple and fun way! Create magic with 2D games!
*All software, materials, and laptops provided for use during camp at no additional charge***

CMoA is proud to be working with partner STREM HQ for our 2023 summer camps.
Join us Friday, June 23rd from 5:30 – 9:00 PM as we unveil a refresh to CMoA’s punch card exhibit. The expanded exhibit tells the story of how punched cards became so prevalent and depended upon in modern computing. From Jacquard’s Loom to Herman Hollerith’s invention of electromechanical processing of cards to tabulate data for the 1890 census, to the late 20th-century use of the IBM family of punch card machines, the punch card was revolutionary at the time. They were even used for matchmaking at the University of Iowa in 1963!
Join us for the exhibit refresh unveiling, punch a souvenir card on an IBM 029, and explore the other exhibits while enjoying live music, complimentary light bites, and a cash bar.
Tickets are $25.00 if purchased in advance.
Limited tickets at the door are $30.00.
