CMoA Celebrates Earth Day!
Come celebrate Earth Day with us at this free event at the museum entrance!

The City of Roswell’s Environmental/Public Works and Keep Roswell Beautiful will be at Computer Museum of America (CMoA) on Earth Day, April 22 from 11 AM – 2 PM to discuss the importance of recycling with games, giveaways, and informational handouts.

As part of our Earth Day celebrations, this month’s Talking Tech will feature the City of Roswell’s Environmental Educator, Liberti Gates.  As you bring your tech to be recycled at our Electronics Recycling Drive with New Life Recycling, please plan to attend her presentation at 2 PM where she will explain technology recycling and what happens to your tech after you drop it off.  Liberti will deep dive into how disposing of your tech the environmentally friendly way can have major positive impacts.

Whether recycling your electronics, your cans and paper at your curbside or at the Roswell Recycling Center, or finding other ways to reduce what goes into the landfill – we want to do what we can to thank our planet and keep it healthy.

Our semi-annual Electronics Recycling Event will run from 11 AM – 1 PM in the museum parking lot concurrently with the events listed above as an additional part of our Earth Day celebrations.  Find more information on the recycling event at Electronics Recycling Drive .

Tech Tales – Storytime for Young Explorers - 6-3-23 - What Do You Do With A Problem?

June 3, 2023 – What Do You Do With A Problem? by Kobi Yamada

Tech Tales is our weekly summer story reading series geared for children 12 and under.  Each week we present a different story with a corresponding activity about a STEM/STEAM based topic or person.

This week’s book is What Do You Do With a Problem? by Kobi Yamada. This story is a heartwarming tale for anyone who has ever dealt with a problem. No one is too young to learn the importance of courage and persistence. After reading, we will be using our problem solving skills to grab something out of reach.

Join us for Tech Tales every Saturday at 2 PM during June and July.
Free for members or with paid admission.

Do you have a group you’d like to bring?  A camp, a daycare, a neighborhood playdate?
Groups are welcome and encouraged to schedule on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in June and July by sending an email to info@thecomputermuseumofamerica.org at least a week in advance.
